Support Vehicle Operator (co-owner)

Leigh Oborne has been in the region for nearly twenty years, he is most well-known for his immaculate bifold doors you’ll see at most venues and resorts in the area. When Leigh isn’t working with timber, he is spending every minute looking for a new location we haven’t been to in Cape York. Although Leigh is an avid adventure rider on his KTM 500, he is always looking for a new Barra hole or a scenic untouched camping area. Leigh has incredible knowledge of the area and is excited to share these places with others. He is also a keen camp cook so most trips we go on outside of the tour, he is that mate that always delivers on the camp oven. Leigh’s open fire cooked steak, veg and potatoes are always a winner around the camp after a long day on the bike.

Tour Guide (co-owner)

Joe has been in the Douglas area for fifteen years and has a strong passion for motorbikes, fishing and all things outdoor and adventure. He raced motocross when he was younger and then switched over to Supermoto as he got older and had a reasonable amount of success with multiple local clubs and NQ championships. Joe acheived second in State, fourth in Australian title as well as being nominated for rider of the year by Motorcycling Queensland. Now, he enjoys racing the local enduro rounds, riding the endless trails around the area and exploring the Cape. Outside of motorbiking Joe enjoys adventuring around the mangroves for a mud crab or a barra and spearfishing out on the Great Barrier Reef. All of which are sustainable of course!
